This is a really fun place on the main street in Homestead. We were looking for a different place than the usual we visit when here and we saw the outside patio which was the attraction. Although the patio was packed and no outside seats were available, we still really enjoyed our food and our server was so fun. It was a family reunion and she really “ got us” and our sense of humor.

Beer in a boot, giant pretzels, and good vibes--what more do you need? We stopped by Millstream Brau Haus while visiting the Amana Colonies, and it was easily one of the highlights of the trip. This place gives cozy German beer hall energy but with the chill charm of small-town Iowa. Let's talk drinks: the Farmer's Tan beer was my favorite--light, smooth, and perfect for patio sipping. And yes, I 100% ordered it in a giant glass boot because... how could you not? It's weirdly fun and makes the whole experience feel like a mini Oktoberfest. Food-wise, the pretzel is the move. Giant, warm, soft, and served with a cheese dip I could honestly eat with a spoon. Their burgers also surprised me--really juicy, well-seasoned, and exactly what you want with a beer in hand. We were lucky to visit on a sunny day and sat outside on their patio, which just made everything better. Great people-watching, relaxed atmosphere, and super friendly staff who made us feel right at home. If you're exploring Amana and want a spot that's casual, delicious, and a little bit playful (I mean... beer boots!), Brau Haus is the way to go. Will definitely be back next time we're in town.

We stopped for a soft pretzel and ended up getting dinner. The Reubens are wonderful and well stuffed! The chicken fingers were crispy outside and the meat was nice and tender inside. The Beer Batter Pretzels are huge and delicious. It comes with beer cheese dip. Well worth the price and visit.

Millstream Brau Haus. in Amana, Iowa, offers a great way to experience local craft beer. I sampled a flight that included a range of unique brews, from the sweet and tangy Blackberry Firecider to the rich Back Road Stout. The diverse selection, including the hoppy The Rush and the playful Pants Off Dance Off, really showcases the creativity of Iowa's first craft brewery. A fun stop with distinct, flavourful beers to try!

The Reuben I ordered was the best one I’ve ever had. The quality and flavors were amazing. I also ordered the German home fries, which were delicious and unlike anything I’ve tried before. The service was helpful and friendly. They made me a delicious sweet and fruity mocktail as well. My friends and I came here and had a great night together! They have plenty of seating and tables for different sizes of parties. My husband loved the beer selections and variety they offer. Not to mention, they have the best root beer. I can’t wait to go back and try more. Highly recommend! P.S. David is the best. We love him.

Millstream Brau Haus restaurant was impressive. Got the CAB burger with all the fixing and it was excellent! Servicer was friendly and attentive. Atmosphere was pleasant. Will definitely come back and try more of the menu.

Such a great place to stop for a meal. Its well worth the detour off I80. Service was outstanding and you can't beat the atmosphere. All of the food is exceptionally delicious, however, the large pretzel with beer cheese was my favorite. Perfect for sharing. Everyone from my parents to my kids devoured it. It's one of those appetizers that you crave.

We went to the Amana Colonies for a quick day trip and why we were there we wanted a little snack. We asked a local and they recommended we try this place. I am so glad they did, I had one of the best sandwiches in a very long time called 'The Little Pigs'. In fact, all of our roofs were incredible. We started out with a giant pretzel that was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. It came with a remarkable beer cheese dig and hot mustard. We then ordered a couple of sandwiches and Mac n cheese. My only complaint is that we don't live closer to their wonderful restaurant. So do yourself a favor and the next time you are in Amana, go eat here. You won't be disappointed!!!
